In addition to your major field of study, your minor in agriculture will prepare you with the essentials you need to apply your primary studies to the agricultural field or to supplement your knowledge base in order to increase your hiring and promotional potential. With 18 hours of coursework in your minor field, you will have the foundational knowledge and skills to enhance your major studies with an understanding of agricultural issues.
What You Will Study:
Your minor will consist of nine hours of lower-level work, plus nine hours of upper-level studies in agriculture. You will choose from foundational agricultural courses, including:
- Plant or animal science
- Soil science, weed control, and fertilizers
- Precision agriculture
- Herd health and animal nutrition
