Excellence In and Out of the Classroom

ABAC Academics

Education is at its best when classroom study meets real-world experience. At ABAC, we pride ourselves on offering an experiential, personalized approach to learning that gives graduates both the theoretical framework and the hands-on practice they need to thrive in their endeavors. Our focus on integrity both in and out of the classroom means that Stallions leave ABAC with a goal of making the world a better place.

With small class sizes, an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and degree programs focused on providing an interactive learning environment building towards a workforce-driven credential, ABAC’s four schools prepare students for a successful career after graduation.

The Key to Our Academic Excellence: ABAC Faculty

Our nationally-recognized faculty are the core of our academic offerings. These dedicated members of the ABAC family bring to the table not only their unmatched experience and knowledge, but also a passion for teaching and helping students explore their interests and find the way towards a rewarding and fulfilling future.

Dr. Abul Sheikh

As a management information systems faculty, I am always engaged in providing my students with challenging learning experiences. That is not only my objective, it is the mission of the school. I teach in the area of computer programming and information systems, including data analytics. Currently, I am working with two students to investigate why drones would be more useful in farming than satellite imaging. When not dreaming up new and fun projects to work on with my students, I enjoy traveling - visiting natural wonders with my family particularly my two sons before their medical careers take them far from home.

Dr. Jennifer Huang

I am a concert pianist and harpsichordist who plays all genres of music both in solo recitals and chamber music concerts. After living in the big metropolitan cities of Beijing, Hongkong, New York, and Washington DC, I finally found Tifton as my real home. I teach piano and other general music classes and also perform several yearly concerts at ABAC.  Outside the classroom, I play for St. Anne’s church as a piano accompanist, I am a member of the Tifton Music Club and Georgia Music Educator Association. I am very fortunate to be a part of the ABAC family.

Dr. Kennon Deal

I am so fortunate to be a part of ABAC, the college my dad attended, that I try to help and provide experiences for students in many ways.  Throughout my many years of college, I have had some amazing professors whose teaching methods, guidance, and attitudes have helped me.  I try to give ABAC students the same experiences I had by getting them to see the overall picture of why scientific things that they encounter daily happen.  I encourage them to be inquisitive and always seek answers to natural phenomena.
