eCore
eCore is a cooperative arrangement among SACSCOC-accredited institutions of the University System of Georgia (USG) to offer online general education courses. eCore courses are taught by instructors from USG institutions and are transferable within the USG, as well as to most regionally accredited schools. Whether you are a working adult who wants to get back in school or a traditional college student who needs the flexibility of an online class–the public universities and colleges of the University System of Georgia are well within your reach through eCore.
Getting Started
Before registering for an eCore class at ABAC, you must be an admitted student. If you are not a current student, your first step is to apply for admission. Click here to apply now.
All students are required to complete the eCore introduction quiz before registering for an eCore course. You must know your ABAC student ID number as well as your ABAC email address to complete the quiz.

eCore Withdrawals
Students should follow ABAC’s withdrawal procedures to withdraw from eCore courses.
eCore Proctored Exams
eCore courses contain at least one proctored assessment experience or one major project of significance that includes a recorded video presentation for additional verification of student identity. Laboratory science courses and most math courses include one or more proctored assessment experiences.
ABAC’s Testing Center on the Tifton Campus (Carlton 306, Rm 313) and the Bainbridge Site (Mobley Administration Building) are approved eCore testing locations. eCore exam registration and fee payment are made through eCore.

On Test Day
Bring one of the following forms of photo identification:
- State-issued driver’s license
- Passport
- Student ID
Students who do not bring an appropriate form of photo identification will not be permitted to test.
